Quick story. My youngest son and middle child was in the marching band for a couple of years. He did not want to take a coat, which we knew he would need as it gets cold in the windy stadium in October. I finally said, “my job as a parent is to get you to take this jacket. Your job is to bring it home. What you do in the middle is up to you.” When we got to the cold game, he was wearing the jacket.
